Introducing our brand-new virtual program! In “Plane” Sight explores symbols throughout aviation history and how we can use them to understand identity. The program will venture into symbols of group and self-identities through an up-close look at some of the Alberta Aviation Museum’s artifacts and stories from Alberta’s aviation history. Students will gain a better understanding of how symbols have been used to illustrate identity throughout history.
The program includes a virtual live session with the museum instructors and an activity kit. The virtual live session consists of an interactive session where the student can see different artifacts such as military uniforms, medals and others. They will also have the opportunity to ask our instructors any questions.
The activity kit will engage student’s creative, writing and critical thinking skills. Activities include two worksheets, a craft, and a virtual choose your own adventure story!
