Museum Sensory Nights
On the 3rd Thursday of every month, families, individuals and members of the neurodiverse community can experience the wonders of historic Hangar 14 from 5:00pm – 8:00 pm. This inclusivity initiative is made possible through the museum’s continued partnership with Servus Credit Union.
Experience a worry-free, after-hours experience as the museum creates a calming environment to celebrate Edmonton’s rich aviation history. Over 30 historical aircraft grace the halls as the lights are dimmed and the audio displays are turned town to provide silent, thoughtful, engaging experiences for all ages.
Each month will feature an all-new activity craft, as well as colouring/activity stations, and a quiet area for individuals and families to recharge throughout the evening.
Sensory backpack activity kits are also for rent at the front-desk for $5. Each kit contains sensory games, activities, and ear defenders designed for children aged 4-10.

Social Story Map
Our social story map is a resource for persons on the autism spectrum and children who may benefit from descriptions and pictures to help them know what to expect and ease the anxiety which often accompanies a visit to somewhere new and unfamiliar.
If you, your child, or someone else in your group would benefit from this resource, you can download our social story as a PDF Below:
