Our biggest event of the year, Open Cockpit Day, which took place on September 9th, was a resounding success. All ages had the opportunity to explore the museum and delve deeper into the world of aviation, catering to aviation enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Advanced tickets for this exciting event went on sale on August 1st, setting the stage for a day where history came alive as we swung open the doors to reveal a captivating collection of rare historical aircraft. Visitors of all ages embraced the chance to step into the shoes of legendary pilots by sitting in the pilot’s cockpit. Moreover, the event featured esteemed guests like the Edmonton Flying Club, 504 Blatchford Field Air Cadets, C3 Cosplay, and more. As a grand finale, attendees were treated to the unveiling of our newly restored Bell 206 helicopter, making it a truly unforgettable experience for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs.

"I wanted to take the time to say our family attended the open Cockpit day and how awesome it was!
My Mom & Dad took us and our kids (daughters age 10 and 13) and we all had so much fun! We were all blown away with how much fun we had.
I really had to take the time to say that the team there did such a great job organizing the event and making it for everyone. Thank-you and I will be sure to encourage more people to go next year!!"
