May/June 2026: Hangar Update

What a wonderful luncheon we shared together.

On behalf of the Alberta Aviation Museum, I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, and championed our recent luncheon fundraiser. Your generosity and passion for aviation helped make the event an incredible success.

Every dollar raised will help us preserve Alberta’s rich aviation heritage, care for our historic WW2 era BCATP Hangar, expand educational programming, and create inspiring experiences for visitors of all ages.

As we gathered to hear about Max Ward’s endeavours and adventures, we were surrounded by a story of innovation, courage, and determination. I was reminded that this museum is much more than a collection of aircraft—it is a place where history comes alive and where future generations can dream about what is possible.

As we look forward to a very busy summer with summer camps, tours and participation in the Explore Edmonton – Discovery Pass program, we will being seeing many new faces and some familiar faces throughout the season.
Your support ensures that these stories will continue to inspire young people, aviation enthusiasts, families, and our entire community for years to come.

Together, we are preserving the legacy of those who built Alberta’s aviation history while inspiring tomorrow’s pilots, engineers, innovators, and explorers.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us reach new heights.

With sincere gratitude,
Jean Lauzon
