Hangar Update January / February 2026

As we welcome the New Year, I want to extend my sincere thanks, on behalf of everyone at the Alberta Aviation Museum, for being part of our remarkable community. Your support—whether as a visitor, member, volunteer, donor, or aviation enthusiast—plays a vital role in preserving Alberta’s rich aviation legacy and inspiring future generations to look to the skies with curiosity and ambition.

The year ahead brings strong momentum and exciting possibilities for the Museum. We are planning a dynamic lineup of new exhibits and engaging programs that will deepen connections to the stories, people, and aircraft that have shaped aviation in our province and beyond.

A key priority for the coming year is advancing plans for our hangar. Enhancing this essential space will allow us to better preserve our aircraft, expand our exhibitions, and create new hands-on learning and behind-the-scenes experiences. This work is critical to ensuring our collection remains accessible, relevant, and inspiring for many years to come.

We are also looking forward to a full calendar of events, including family-friendly activities, special exhibitions, community gatherings, aviation-themed celebrations, and a dance. These moments bring history to life, strengthen community ties, and make the Museum an even more vibrant place to gather, learn, and share stories.

I look forward to sharing these experiences with you as we continue our mission to educate, preserve, and inspire.

From all of us at the Alberta Aviation Museum, I wish you a year filled with discovery, adventure, and blue skies ahead. Thank you for helping us soar into the future—together.
