Visitor FAQs

Here are some of our commonly asked questions when visiting the museum.

How long does it take to tour the Alberta Aviation Museum?

A self-guided tour usually takes 1-2 hours for most patrons.

Can I take pictures in the museum?

Yes, we encourage the photography of our collection as long as patrons remain outside of the museum exhibit barriers.

Professional photography sessions such as wedding/engagement shoots, film productions, commercial and close-up photography MUST be booked in advance.

Can we sit in any of the aircraft?

Due to the fragility of our historical artifacts, most access into our aircraft is closed to the public.  However, we do allow scheduled, supervised access during our annual Open Cockpit Day and throughout the year as a benefit of Museum Membership

Once our 2022 plane interior renovations are complete, patrons can have access to the fuselage of our resident Beechcraft Expeditor 3NM (Model 18).  Stay tuned to our website for updates.

Are Kids Free?

Admission is free for kids 5 and under.
