As the busy summer approaches, the Alberta Aviation Museum is delighted to welcome two new summer students to our museum team: Hazel De Leon and Molly Fandrey.
Hazel and Molly have joined us through the Young Canada Works program and will be assisting in the creation of programming and outreach when we look to reopen in the summer. Stay tuned for exciting developments to come!
Hazel De Leon
Hazel is a 3rd year Anthropology student at the University of Alberta. Her interests in museology inspired her to join the museum as a summer student. She plans on pursue her Masters and PHD focusing on East and Southeast Asian archaeology in the future. In her spare time, she loves to bake, play video games, and watch documentaries.
Molly Fandrey
Molly is in her 4th year of an Honours History degree at the University of Alberta. She is very excited to be working at the museum this summer and is looking forward to learning more about aviation history – specifically about the role of aviation in WWII. After she graduates, Molly plans on pursuing her Masters and PHD focusing on military history. In her spare time, she likes to read, crochet, and watch Star Wars.
Welcome Hazel and Molly!
