COVID-19 Restriction Exemption Program

The Alberta Aviation Museum is announcing today that we will be implementing the Alberta Government’s “COVID-19 Restriction Exemption” program. For the foreseeable future, all patrons visiting our facility aged 12 and over will be required to show proof of one of the following for entry, effective September 20, 2021:

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Single COVID-19 vaccination dose, administered a minimum of 14 days prior to planned attendance. This option is only valid until October 25, 2021.
  • Negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test, from a paid private testing provider, taken with 72 hours of the event’s start time. (NOTE: Tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories will NOT be accepted, as per the guidelines)
  • Proof of documentation of an approved medical exemption.

Masks for all patrons are required, as per AHS policy.

Either electronic or paper immunization records will be accepted alongside proof of identification. Albertans’ immunization records are easily viewed online and available on cell phones through MyHealthRecords or by downloading the MyHealthRecords app.  In the case of potential app failures, it is recommended that you screenshot your QR code or electronic documentation as a photo backup.

This policy does not apply for general admission tickets sold for the weekend of September 18-19, and will take effect for all events after September 20th, INCLUDING Open Cockpit Day.

The museum will reach out to all Open Cockpit Day Advance Ticket Holders to work together to manage this transition and continue to ensure the safety of all museum patrons, volunteers, and community members.  Questions, concerns can be directed to marketing@albertaaviationmuseum.com
