Parents can now send their kids to explore a day of high-flying adventure as the Alberta Aviation Museum presents their new PD Day Camp program. On your child’s day off, the museum will be abuzz with activities for youth aged 6-12.
Running from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, the camps will take place on Edmonton Public School PD days. Each camp will explore a different historical theme in Edmonton’s rich aviation history. Upcoming themes traverse a range of adventurous topics from bush pilot explorers, daredevil aviators, flight training, jets, and more!
Children will have the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of one of our aircraft, interact and play with museum artifacts, all while using their creativity and imagination to explore the world of aviation.
Barnstorming: The Theatrical Art of Flight!
Plan for a day of high-flying fun as we learn about the pioneering pilots who introduced many Albertans to aircraft and showed their importance beyond warfare. Uncover the true historical account of the first airmail delivery in Western Canada, climb inside the cockpit and get up close with artifacts from the museum collection. Expect a few spins, rolls, and maybe a loop-the-loop.
