Blatchford Field History

Ken Tingley’s Blatchford Field Stories

Edmonton historian Ken Tingley has been fascinated about Blatchford Field and its history for years. Tingley, Edmonton’s first Historian Laureate, wrote a series of articles that were published by the Kingsway Business Association during the early 1990s, when the group was lobbying to keep the airport open.

Tingley, who is now a member of the Alberta Aviation Museum Board of Directors, has graciously agreed to rework those articles for our bi-monthly historical journal In Formation and for our web site.
